 Verified Amazing family holiday - our first glamping experience!
The incredible welcome started before we even arrived, with excellent communication from the owner before our stay and on the day of our arrival. Charles is really friendly and knowledgeable - he always made time to answer all our questions and give us superb recommendations about where to go and eat. The yurts are beautiful and comfortable. As a family of 5, there was plenty of room for us all and our bags etc. The children loved the fire pit (we had some great barbecues and toasted marshmallows at night!). Plenty of shops around (we went to Morrisons) to stock up on food and restaurants when you don’t feel like cooking (especially if it’s raining).The kitchenette by the yurt has everything you need, and the coolbox was perfect to keep your food fresh. The cowshed/communal area is great to relax/chill (the kids were able to watch a film one evening) and you can charge your phones there/connect to the Wifi. The showers/toilets are cleaned regularly and it wasn’t too far from the yurt. The location was superb, peacefully nested in the countryside with a stunning view of the reservoir. All in all, a fantastic base to explore Cornwall as a family, we went to a different beach every day and had the best time! Thank you Charles for welcoming us at the Fir Hill Estate :)

This glamping site is a must. It’s hidden away in the Cornish countryside. With fabulous views all the way to the sea at Newquay. Beautiful yurts and comfy beds. Great for families or groups of friends. Charlie the manager couldn’t be more helpful. And it’s eco- all powered by the sun. Don’t miss it.

Last year - our first visit to Fir Hill was for my husband’s 50th birthday weekend. Kids absolutely loved our little break so returning this summer was an easy decision! We’ve just returned from a week stay at the Fir Hill and yet again our staycation was incredible! Charlie, the owner is the loveliest most welcoming host one can wish for. The estate had new additions since last year which we all loved exploring. Fir Hill is secluded and surroundings are just breathtaking, yet it’s perfectly located to main attractions Cornwall has to offer. The setting has everything family needs and more, even with our one year old, we’ve had an amazing relaxing escape from fast moving technology saturated life. Booking next year’s break already!  Verified perfect accommodation and an amazing host
extremely impressed by the size of the site each yurt has a fair distance in-between. shower facilities had been kept clean throughout a long weekend. Charlie is a great host and had our bags taken on arrival to the yurt which was very helpful. beds are extremely comfy and well spread out. lots a seating areas around the site. I can not even put into words how amazing this weekend was. Thank you Charlie and I hope to visit again sometime.

 Verified Simply the best! You HAVE to try it
I stayed at the Firhill with five friends from school as a sort of reunion holiday. We were blown away by the owner (Charlie) who was welcoming, friendly and so willing to help. The Yurts are cosy and comfy, six 23-year olds fitted in with ease!So much to do in and around Newquay and the Firhill is perfectly placed to provide rural countryside bliss whilst being close enough to the buzz of Newquay and the local beaches.We genuinely could not have asked for more and enjoyed the most incredible stay with Real Glamping - we are already excited to go back next year.

We absolutely adored our two night stay here! The facilities are incredible, the beds are superbly comfortable, the yurts come with everything you need to enjoy a relaxing break and cook over the fire or on your own camping stoves. They’ve thought of everything here! The host, Charlie, was very helpful and welcoming, and his dog Lily was our favourite part. WHAT a location, incredible views. We will definitely be back.

 Verified Excellent Glamping location
We are seasoned glampers - so we were a little nervous over the summer holidays, when everything was booked up - and the only place available was Real Glamping at the Fir Hill.  But we had no reason to be.  Super remote location - and only a short drive to 'civilization' (Newquay).  Excellent onsite facilities - good shower rooms and toilets (and cleaned regularly), lots of communal areas (if you wanted it) and lots of space for my 2 kids to run around in full safety (age 9 and 12) + a proper coffee machine/ TV for the kids if raining/ and good wi-fi .  Yurts were very comfortable, and what is different from other places - you have your own sheltered cooking cabin - with free gas cooker, pots, pans, cutlery, plates, wood and water! (so I packed my own for no reason!) Of course you also have your own BBQ pit to cook as well.  We had super quiet evenings, and lots of adventures - even with a helicopter landing in the middle of the yurts as a guest unfortunately pranged his car.  Charlie and the onsite team very friendly and super helpful.A great location to explore Cornwall - and we did a lot!  From Lands End to Surfboarding, picturesque villages, beautiful St Ives, stunning beaches and the Eden Project.  (Never been to Cornwall before - so very impressed!)Altogether a wonderful break in the middle of the COVID crisisOne tip:  Read the email Charlie sends about how to get there - as Sat Nav does not get you to the right place!  Luckily Charlie found us driving around in circles just outside his estate!  Lovely place.  Fully recommend.  We will be back Charlie!  Tip for Glampsite - Add more fairy lights on the glamping tent outside - just a shade more glamour :)

Charlie & his team made our first experience of glamping & staying in a yurt one that we want to repeat! Fir Hill Estate is so close to Newquay and access to Cornwall & yet once on site you feel a million miles away. The yurts themselves are brilliant & nearly all the kit you need is provided from cold food storage, cooking, cleaning, chilling out & sleeping, a real home from home! We even had one really stormy night & I had no problem sleeping like a baby. It was ace to watch the lightning through the clear part in the roof while being all snuggled up in a very comfy bed. The wider site is also great with the shared facilities being top class. Charlie has managed to create somewhere special & makes you feel like part of the 'family'. We have 13 luxury Mongolian yurts. There are nine larger yurts sleeping up to 6 people and four yurts sleeping 2-3, so you can accommodate a party of over 60 people at The Fir Hill.

Each Yurt has a dedicated outdoor kitchen and its own fire pit. You’ll have modern, individual wet room bathroom facilities in the Cowshed – and use of the indoor facilities, including TV and games room. You and your guests will have the run of over sixty acres of grounds on our historic estate.

We’re 3 miles – just 10 minutes drive – from Newquay, so you’ve got all the facilities associated with one of the UK’s best beach holiday destinations right on your doorstep.

Surfing, coasteering, paddle-boarding or just relaxing on the beach, and a huge selection of places to eat and drink.

The Fir Hill is easy to reach – under 10 minutes from the A30 and A39.

If you don’t want to drive, there are flights to Cornwall Airport, Newquay – just a couple of miles from The Fir Hill, or you can come by train. Local taxi services are plentiful and reliable.
